As we have already established, most hipsters are loathe to wear bras—mostly because they are restrictive and expensive—but every girl likes to dress up in something lacy that makes her feel sexy, right? Wrong. Wearing a teddy or a garter or a (gasp) thong implies that you are making an effort—that you, in fact, planned on hooking up with a dude. This is wholly unacceptable. Although most hipster girls probably go into a date (which usually amounts to getting shitfaced at the cheapest bar around and then hanging on the dude’s roof) knowing whether or not they will sleep with the gentleman in question, they would never advertise that fact via the sheerness of their underthings. No, dude—it’s cotton briefs and men’s underwear or bust. You’re just fucking lucky you’re getting anywhere near that area of their anatomy.

NB: Here’s a secret—hipster dudes kinda wish that their mates would slinky it up in the unmentionables department. Jeans are one thing—no one really wants to share underwear with their significant other.
