Why the reluctance to jump on the banal bandwagon of benevolence? Jesus, need you even ask? A hipster will rarely smile at you in person, do you seriously expect him to send you a grin in effigy?
NB: Hipsters who spend a lot of time working with electronics or on the web are far more likely to throw a smiley your way. That’s because they rarely interact in “RL” and are probably huge dorks.
